The staff member will deepen collaboration with key donors including National Committees and provide an interface for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange and resource mobilization for UNICEF Ghana Country Programme through support to various fundraising activities and channels, ensuring strategic engagement and development of long-term partnerships (public/private).
- Support the Ghana CO in producing and updating of comprehensive and substantive donor landscape analyses and briefing notes, gathering donor trends and all other relevant information to inform office’s strategy, resource mobilization efforts and senior management’s meetings with existing or perspective donors inside or outside the Country, coordinating inputs from programme sections.
- Active lead in donor pitching and contribution towards reaching the overall resource mobilization targets including those in emergencies
- Support the day-to-day active grant management including, if necessary, field visits; act as focal point in addressing queries from donor partners, coordinating inputs from sections, liaising with UNICEF Private Fundraising & Partnership Division (PFP) and UNICEF Public Partnerships Division (PPD).
- Design effective donor engagement plans in line with the Resource Mobilization Strategy to help mobilize public and private support for the cause of children.
- Oversee the development of quality proposals, concept notes, donor reports and updates related to development programs in the country in line with global standards and guidelines in coordination with Deputy Representative, Chief of Sections and programme teams. Proposals to be aligned with donor interests and UNICEF’s programme priorities under the Country Programme Document.
- Identify and promote new partnerships and resource mobilization opportunities.
- Lead the coordination between HQ divisions, the Public Partnership Division (PPD)/Private Fundraising & Partnership (PFP) Division and National Committees at the country office level to enhance partnerships between UNICEF and donors. With HQ/RO divisions, ensure the review and approval of all agreements.
- In collaboration with Communications section, ensure donor visibility provision of support to donor recognition initiatives including organizing donor events.
- Ensure Senior Management is kept up to date on the latest donor trends and formulate recommendations for strategic approaches and external engagement.
- Expand UNICEF’s network of key interlocutors to build stronger relationships between UNICEF and donors (public/private), NatComs, international financial institutions and other key interlocutors. Mapping potential entry points for UNICEF.
- Serve as a focal point for donors for UNICEF programmes in general and specific grants, liaising with Senior Management and Section Chiefs as required.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: University degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Marketing, Fundraising or other related fields is required. Post graduate degree on any of the related fields is an advantage
- Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in external relations, partnership, liaison and/or any resource-mobilization related activities, preferably in an UN or international organization is required .
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required and sophisticated writing skills in English
