•    Examining equipment/plant, determining the faults and completing the job efficiently and effectively within stated time, repairing and deciding course of action.

•    Using skill and knowledge to maintaining and repairing both machinery parts and equipment from production and service department of the Mine Site.

•    Utilising material parts and labour available to ensuring work is completed to acceptable standard and within the cost.

•    Ensuring that equipment, tools uses and work sites are left in a clean and tidy and tools stored properly.

•    Working to relevant standards of working and safety to reducing losses due to poor workmanship and accidents.

•    Working with the Foreman in updating of sectional documents like SWPs, and Risk Assessment when changes arise.

•    Ensuring to conducting good housekeeping upon completion of any task.

•    Grade 12 Certificate.

•    Craft Certificate in Instrumentation/Trade test level 3 in Refrigeration.

•    Valid Membership of EIZ/ ERB.

•    First Aid Certificate.

•    Ability to work in Confined Spaces Underground.

•    Underground Refuge Chambers with Strata Worldwide Certificate of Competence.

•    Knowledge of Underground Refuge Chambers.

•    Must understand what a Scrubber Unit is and what it does.

•    Good oral and written communication skills.

•    At least 2 years of experience in Mining Industry preferably Underground.
