This function is responsible for supporting the execution of the bank’s strategic initiatives across all departments. This role focuses on monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), providing data-driven insights, and advising business units based on research and financial analysis. Additionally, the Specialist will draft presentations, and assist with media communications, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall strategic messaging.
Under the supervision of the Head, Strategy & Data, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:
Track and monitor the execution of the bank’s strategic initiatives across business units to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Develop and maintain KPI dashboards that provide real-time insights into the progress of strategic initiatives.
Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports.
Analyse the bank’s performance against key strategic goals such as profitability, operational efficiency, and market share.
Utilize financial modelling and data analysis tools to provide insights and suggest improvements to ongoing strategy execution.
Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and internal data reviews to support strategic decision-making.
Provide advisory support to business units based on data-driven insights, ensuring that departmental strategies align with the bank’s overall objectives.
Create business cases and perform financial analysis to assist with strategic decisions, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to assess the viability of strategic initiatives.
Perform financial forecasting to evaluate the outcomes of ongoing projects and new initiatives.
Use business intelligence tools to track financial performance against strategic targets.
Prepare high-quality presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Draft media responses and external communications, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic goals and messaging.
Provide research-based content to support external engagements.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure that strategic initiatives are executed effectively and align with corporate goals.
Act as a bridge between the CEO’s office and business units, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
Any other responsibilities or tasks as maybe assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Certificate with Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in strategy execution or business analysis, with a focus on financial modelling and performance tracking
- Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint proficiency are a base requirement
- FMVA certification is an added advantage
