Scania is a leading supplier of solutions and services for sustainable transport, as well as engines for industrial applications and power generation. Scania East Africa is the regional distributor for Scania products and services, and serves Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda.

The Retail Support Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supporting sales activities for both vehicles and services. This will be achieved by leveraging on various channels such as our digital and CRM platforms, and utilizing market intelligence and online inquiries to attain pre-qualified leads which can be converted into sales opportunities, and ensuring database integrity is maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Marketing Communication Retail Support Operations by generating inbound leads and identifying outbound leads in the retail network
  • Market intelligence to monitor market and competitor activity, trends and demands
  • Maintain up-to-date data in the CRM system (sales and services) as a hub of all customer related information

  • You can demonstrate an understanding of customers in the automotive industry in the market, their commercial offerings, industry, business, motivational drivers and needs, and you understand how Scania can contribute to the optimization of customer profitability

Digitalization:

  • You have strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media

Managing Resources:

  • You are able to manage resources by planning, allocating and mobilizing resources (human, physical, information and financial resources) to achieve organizational goals

Marketing:

  • You have thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management

Using Information Technology:

  • You have the capability to use and understand software and information technology to achieve the required objectives

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Managerial and leadership experience preferably in the automotive or a related B2B industry
  • Business knowledge and experience from a similar role an advantage
  • Experience in data driven strategic marketing, customer segmentation and personalisation
  • A thorough understanding of marketing automation tools, SEO and digital analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency working with CRM systems
