Job description

Reporting to the Principal Engineer: IP Planning, the position holder will be involved in network planning for the following domains (IP-Core, IPRAN & Enterprise Converged Network, FTTH, and IP Systems). The role is goal-oriented with the main effort focused on the delivery of our customer promise while working on; IP-Core Network rollout, E-2-E (IP-CORE & IPRAN) SRv6 network rollout, Network & Systems processes Automation, IPV6 Network rollout, Support BNG rollout and solution design.

Responsibilities

  • E-2-E SRv6 Network rollout (IP-CORE & IPRAN)
  • IP-Core network design & rollout.
  • IPRAN & Enterprise Converged Network design & rollout.
  • IP Network & Systems process automation.
  • Data-driven capacity planning & Intelligent network design and planning.
  • FTTH network design & rollout.
  • Performing IPV4/IPV6 planning and rollout.
  • Performing regular performance tools installation.
  • Vendor engagements & evaluation for better IP solutions and support.
  • Support proof of concept (POC) for emerging technologies, SDN AI, ML, Network Automation, and carrier-grade Ethernet.
  • Work closely with IP support teams and other external parties.
  • Ensure project delivery timelines.
  • Support data Center network planning and deployments.
  • Performing Network acceptance according to agreed Guidelines and checklist
  • NWRFP support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science electrical or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Candidates with Strong IP skills and Certification in {CCIE or HCIE} will have an added advantage.
  • A team player with excellent problem-solving skills, the right attitude & good work ethic.
  • Candidates with Hands–on experience in IP-CORE network planning, Design and Optimization will have an added advantage.
  • Strong skill in SR (SRv6) will be an added advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of systems i.e. Linux, Cloud operations, DevOps tools and Methodologies.
  • Network Automation Skills -, Python, Ansible, Bash front-end (Java-Script, CSS, HTML, etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of Transmission infrastructure deployment and Support life cycle will be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical analysis, IP network troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
