Project HOPE seeks Clinical Mentors with knowledge and skills in clinical and public health interventions to support the implementation of on-site health facility mentorship, coaching, skills observation and supportive supervision components of the IHP activity, with particular focus on integrating RMNCAH, nutrition and malaria service delivery. The incumbent must have expertise on current standards, guidelines, and protocols and their use in mentoring and coaching at the facility level.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with, and provide mentorship, coaching and supportive supervision to assigned mentees
- Guide mentees in the correct use of guidelines and protocols to deliver RMNCAH, Nutrition and malaria interventions
- Provide on-site and virtual coaching and technical assistance to mentees
- Share expertise and experience in integrated service delivery with mentees.
- Model professional behavior in carrying out duties
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a healthcare provider, preferably an experienced Doctor, Physician Assistant, Midwife, RGN or RCN in good standing with their regulatory bodies (Nursing and midwifery Council or Medical and Dental Council) and have clinical care and public health programming experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in mentorship, coaching and supervisory position
- Willingness to mentor through on-site and virtual support
- Familiarity with, and ability to use clinical standards, guidelines and protocols to teach and assess technical skills
- Clinical proficiency and capacity to make decisions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with mentees, including provision of constructive, timely and interactive feedback.
- Fluency in English.
