Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for HME and processing plant equipment.
- Collaborate with Planning & Reliability teams within HME to optimize PCR Management.
- Utilize maintenance management systems to track performance metrics and ensure adherence to maintenance plans.
- Conduct reliability analysis and assessments of HME and processing plant equipment.
- Identify failure modes and implement preventive measures to enhance equipment reliability.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives to address equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reliability and planning reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights.
- Drive the standardization of planning and reliability practices across the mine to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with various teams to develop and implement standardized procedures, guidelines, and best practices for maintenance and reliability.
- Lead initiatives to harmonize rotables strategies across the mine, ensuring that spare parts management and lifecycle strategies are consistent and optimized for all equipment.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to align maintenance strategies with operational goals.
- Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a culture of reliability within the team.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to statutory requirements and regulations within the plant and HME operations.
- Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, ensuring all team members are trained and equipped to follow protocols.
- Participate in safety audits and reviews to promote a safe working environment.
- Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a culture of reliability within the team.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following essential requirements:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years mining experience in maintenance planning and reliability.
- Prior experience in supervising a team more than ten people.
- Prior experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
- Holder of a valid driver’s License.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
