The Union Zimbabwe Trust is seeking a Finance & IT Assistant to join our dynamic team to deliver on a new United States Agency for International Development, 5-year funded Programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Finance
Reconcile and arrange for payment of creditors timeously.
Be the custodian of both the Petty Cash and Operational Cash, producing and keeping an account record of cash movements through a monthly analysis.
Prepare payment vouchers
Capture accounting data onto the financial reporting software
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and funds reconciliation statement
Process proposals and approval request forms
Checking acquittal documents and clearing advances
Information Technology
Process IT needs of the organisation
Liaise with IT service providers for the repair of IT equipment
Keep track of the renewal of software licenses.
Attend to all ad hoc IT general needs of the office
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in accounting or professional qualifications.
Basic understanding of IT needs of a functional office.
2 years of working experience in an Accounting department.
