Reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration, the job holder will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services within the organisation. He/she will be responsible for implementing effective procurement systems and processes which encompasses sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to meet the organisation’s needs while minimizing costs and risks.

Key Attributes & Skills     

1. Must have in-depth knowledge and hands on experience with the procurement processes,
2. Must be conversant with the procurement governance like the Zambia Public Procurement Authority Act and Regulations.
3. Must be widely knowledgeable in contract and project management.
4. Must be computer literate with high proficiency in two or more relevant Office Operating Systems like Microsoft Excel and Word.
5. Must have a tracible record of attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Must be a multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced & changing environment.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Grade 12 School Certificate with at least a credit in English & Mathematics and any other subject.
2. A Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised University.
3. Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
4. At least Three (03) Years’ relevant professional experience at a senior level.
