The goal of the anticipated West Africa Biodiversity and Low Emissions Development Activity Follow-on is to promote biodiversity conservation, combat wildlife crime, maximize land-based greenhouse gas mitigation, and promote low emissions development in West Africa.
RTI is seeking CVs from relevant and qualified technical experts and specialists for the anticipated follow-on to the USAID West Africa Biodiversity and Low Emission Development Activity (WABiLED). These positions may be based in Ghana or any of the countries named in the stated project’s goals including Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea,
Responsibilities
Demonstrated experience in the one or more of the following areas:
Biodiversity conservation
Climate resilience planning
Climate financing
Carbon project development
Countering wildlife crime and trafficking and anti-poaching
Human-Wildlife Conflict
Deforestation and forest degradation
Timber trade
Policy reform and governance
Private sector engagement, especially transportation, tourism, and agriculture
Value chain development for non-timber forest products
Communications and knowledge management
Monitoring and evaluation
Gender, Youth, Social Inclusion Integration
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of experience.
Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
Fluency in French and local languages required for francophone countries.
Citizens of Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, and Cameroon are strongly encouraged to apply.
