Key Responsibilities

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.

  • Planning, managing & reporting on Stock takes
  • Damages /waste
  • Dead Stock or obsolete
  • Slow Moving
  • Cycle counts (daily)
  • Validate daily wastages as reported by stores
  • Monitor inventory management & procedures.
  • Enforce finance procedures at the Warehouse and report.

COSTING

  • Landed cost management

OTHER REPORTS IN ACCOUNTS.

  • Work on ROPE (Monthly Results, Objectives, Planning & Execution) to your supervisor.
  • Send ROI (Weekly Results, Objectives & Issues) to your supervisor by every Saturday.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT DUTIES

  • Leave plans –Ensure you plan & implement your team’s leave at the start of every year.
  • Training -Coach your teams & provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Performance – Set department objectives/KRAs & DDIs; Review and assess ongoing performance.
  • Weekly Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required among your team.
  • Ensure policies are adhered; be the role model in adhering to policies.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Motivate the team to operational success
  • Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
  • Communicate KPIs from the annual strategic plan so that each employee is aware.
  • Ensure your team send ROI (weekly Results, following week Objectives and Issues) to you by every Saturday; analyse and give timely feedback.
  • Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere

Skill & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience working in an import/export busy environment

Qualifications

  • Degree in Procurement /Accounting/ Purchasing / Supplies / Logistics Management or any other related field.
