A Monitoring and Evaluation Manager post has arisen at National Biotechnology Authority and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful incumbent will be tasked with:
● Supervision of M&E officers in the department.
● Designing and continuous maintenance/improvement of a monitoring and evaluation system.
● Developing a Monitoring and Evaluation plan.
● Implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools.
● Undertaking periodic monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs within the organization.
● Providing recommendations for continual improvement.
● Developing monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements.
● Developing monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements.
● Developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and indicators for projects or programs.
● Designing data collection tools, surveys, and methodologies to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
● Implementing data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations.
● Analyzing data using statistical and qualitative analysis techniques to assess program performance and outcomes.
● Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
● Monitoring project activities, outputs, and outcomes against established targets and benchmarks.
● Conducting field visits and assessments to verify data quality, monitor progress, and identify challenges.
● Supporting project teams in setting up data management systems and databases to store and analyze data.
● Providing training and capacity building to project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation concepts and tools.
● Facilitating learning and knowledge sharing sessions to capture best practices and lessons learned from program implementation.
● Collaborating with stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and community partners, to ensure alignment of monitoring and evaluation efforts.
● Participate in program planning, review, and evaluation meetings to contribute insights and recommendations.
● Ensure compliance with ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and organizational policies in monitoring and evaluation activities.
● Contributing to the development and refinement of monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
● Supporting organizational learning and continuous improvement efforts through feedback mechanisms and reflective practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in monitoring and evaluation or equivalent.
• At least 5 years hands on experience in monitoring and evaluation.
