The Driver will be responsible for providing transport support to ensure smooth running of the Child Protection project in line with organizational goals and guidelines. The Driver will help with ensuring efficient transportation of staff and stakeholder, carrying out other assigned duties such as delivery and
collection of goods. The Driver is expected to work closely with the Project Manager and district level Project Officers. The post holder will support the Project during assessments and regular monitoring of projects in targeted district

Management of organizational assets, maintaining logbook and recording trips, mileage, fuels and
oils.
Providing quality, safe and reliable driving services to project staff, safeguarding vehicles and
passengers in compliance with Zimbabwe Highway code and TDH Italy driving polices.
Adherence to TDH Italy guidelines/procedures and UNICEF policies such as Gender and Child
Safeguarding Policies and code of conduct
Cleaning of vehicles and carrying out basic maintenance works
Refuelling vehicles and updating records
Filling log sheets and updating vehicle service records.
Ensuring timely communication and information sharing on any relevant developments to the Project team

Qualifications and Experience
5 O’Levels including English Language, administrative qualifications are an added advantage. A valid class
4 Driver’s licence with a valid defensive driving certificate. Ability to communicate in the local languages
(Shona and Shangani) in the respective areas will be a strong requirement.
At least 5 years driving experience, mainly in an NGO set up with a safe driving record.
