Nestlé Ghana Limited is currently looking for a Microbiologist to ensure quality and food safety of all nestle products for customer confidence and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Carries out pathogen monitoring of environment during processing and for line releases.
  • Supervises and checks that all microbiological analysis on raw materials, semi-finished, finished products and all line controls are carried out within the stipulated time.
  • Ensures analysis on water used in the plant to check the effectiveness of chlorine dosing and to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Conducts investigation into cases of microbial deviations and comes up with action plans for correction.
  • Carries out pathogen monitoring of environment during processing and for line releases.
  • Manages microbiology results of raw materials, line and finished products and uses them to advice management.
  • Trains and develops analysts on microbiological techniques and rapid methods.
  • Carries out verification of cleaning of processing plant to ensure the efficiency of cleaning by sampling before and after cleaning.

  • Capable to use and handle the machine, instruments, and devices.
  • Computer literate (Intermediate).
  • Ability to undertake data analysis & reporting.
  • Ability to perform cross functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards.
  • Quality Control in Food or Familiarity with food safety standards .
  • Laboratory Experience: Hands-on experience with microbiological testing methods and lab equipment is essential for accurate and reliable testing.
  • Competency in SAP
  • Qualifications 
  • Minimum Educational qualification: 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Food science, Biochemistry or related discipline.

    Minimum Relevant work experience:

  •  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in food processing environment
