To represent and lead on all aspects of project management, compliance, quality assurance and delivery of project results. To provide strategic, managerial, technical leadership and
administrative oversight to Make Way project and team. Maintain close coordination with the project steering committee and consortium partners ensuring that all project activities are of high quality and lead to measurable outcomes and results.
To be done in line with the donor approved project implementation plans and budgets and VSO’s Volunteering for Development (V4D) approach

Provide leadership to project team and partners – leading on all aspects of the project cycle Identify areas of innovations, develop and oversee development and contextualisation of innovative tools and approaches for the purpose of intersectional lobby and advocacy on Sexual and
Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
Develop and ensure the implementation of a training curriculum around these tools and approaches. Ensure piloting, learning and adaptation of these innovations takes place to enhance the relevance of VSO’s offer. Applying learning from innovation work streams to inform strategic programme development.
Adapt the implementation cycle to respond to changing donor’srequirements, operational change, new policies and procedures, reorganisation of organisational priorities and resources Sustain quality standards and adhesion to deadlines, while incorporating new approaches and evolving demands of the operating environment.
Ensures that experience and knowledge from the program is captured and shared and contributes to learning within the organization.

Collaboration responsibilities
• Advocate and builds collaborative networks with consortium partners, donors, primary actors, volunteers, employees, and other stakeholders that deepen the shared perspective on project approaches through the demonstration of empathy and understanding of operational dimensions.
• Lead the consortium by building a shared understanding of the project objectives, and advising partners on new approaches that sustain the quality of the project delivery
With project consortium partners and stakeholders including:
Make Way project implementing partners to ensure they have the information, resources, and skills they need to deliver, ensure compliance, provide relevant and timely information for reporting and quality delivery of the project.
• Foster collaboration across the organisation, engaging with global experts as needed to guarantee and maintain compliance with VSO’s approaches, values, policies, systems and processes.
• Advise the project team and global colleagues on new
approaches that sustain project quality or delivery within the context of the wider program.

Competence required
Knowledge/qualifications: ·
• Knowledge and technical expertise of intersectionality, social inclusion and gender & social accountability, and/or meaningful youth engagement.
• Project management and/or international development qualifications or equivalent experience.
Experience: ·
• Substantial experience in managing large and complex grants and contracts within the international development sector including donor management and consortium partner management.
• Experience in project security and risk management, and in managing duty of care to the highest international standards Skills/Abilities:
• Proven track record in leading diverse and dispersed teams
• Strong project finance and budget management
