2. Qualifications
- Diploma in Education (Bachelor’s degree or PGCE preferred).
- Experience in teaching across the Primary range; Cambridge Primary Curriculum experience is a plus.
- Proficient in English (reading/writing) and IT tools like Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to promoting global citizenship in the classroom.
- Open to newly qualified teachers.
3. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Academic Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers in planning and preparation.
- Actively teach individuals, groups, or entire classes.
- Set up classrooms, implement plans, and use strategies to reinforce learning objectives.
- Support all learners and foster independent working skills.
- Carry out administrative tasks (displays, photocopying, etc.) and engage in academic progress discussions.
- Use diverse tools (practical, visual, and interactive) to enhance understanding and learning.
- Support during specialist lessons (Library, Music, Art, PE, ICT).
- Pastoral Care
- Guide learners between lessons and enforce behavior policies.
- Carry out assigned duties and address emotional/social concerns promptly.
- Adhere to the Child Protection Policy and report safeguarding concerns.
- Support initiatives like House points, student council, and suggestion boxes.
- Take charge of the class and implement rewards/sanctions when necessary.
