Key Responsibilities Include

  • Perform risk analysis on Sandvik facilities and facilities where the employees work within the clients’ contracts.
  • Support the implementation of the crisis management plan for the sales area.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and support all the SHEQ initiatives.
  • Make security commendations for visits of employees to other entities, foreign visitors to the Sales Area, and client facilities.
  • Investigate security situations either for the employees or the company.
  • Manage the gate functions and ensure high-level security at gates & the perimeter of the site through an outsourced agency.
  • Report and avoid theft/untoward incidents/suspected movements inside/outside the company premises and initiate actions.
  • Ensure legal compliance related to the security contract and function & liaise with the security contractor for optimum performance.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of CCTV systems and secure preservation of footage for the stipulated period.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies & rules for the movement of goods, vehicles, waste, and people in and out of the premises.
  • Take actions for the use of the latest technique for improving security performance.
  • Train personnel in general security.
  • Disseminate information on security events of interest to personnel.
  • Support the hiring and evaluation of GPS tracking companies and outsourcing of security services.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in the related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of security experience in a multinational company, armed forces, or paramilitary
  • Proficiency in business English (written & spoken)
  • Proficiency in French will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to use security electronic gadgets
  • Strong business sense and EHS focus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provide guidance to members of the team.
