Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies procedures and guidelines.
  • Check fluid levels on the machines and top up as necessary.
  • Dispense fuel/lube for top-up of heavy equipment.
  • Support the Mining team to supply oil and diesel by using lube trucks for top up of machines in headings/drifts.
  • Enforce the lube survey schedule across the Mine Site.
  • Ensure accurate recording of dips, receiving and issuing of Fuel and Lubes
  • Monitoring  the stock on hand
  • Ensure timely receiving and transfers of fuel to customers
  • Maintain proper operation of underground skimmers.
  • Ensure airflow recording for mobile equipment.
  • Perform Oil Sampling for used and fresh oils. Ensure  safe measuring, receiving and issuing of Fuel
  • Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings;
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Demonstrate by example a high level of general housekeeping and environmental awareness with an emphasis on hydrocarbon disposal and management by cleaning spill as soon as possible, pumping out all bonded areas into waste oil drums for disposal, and waste oil to be sent to the waste oil facility.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate (FTC,IMTT & VETA)

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of at least 1 year’s experience in a similar industry
  • Tanzania Valid Driving License
  • Excellent communication in English and Swahili ,both writing  and verbal
  • Able to understand the content and operation mechanism of the interfaces between books and supplies
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Time Management Skills
