The position holder will contribute towards strategic and innovative income-generating ventures for non-tuition income through the MIHS grants and business development center. This includes grants acquisition, community capacity-building programs, professional development programs, consultancies, technology and innovation, and experiential learning to facilitate the sustainability of MIHS.
Position’s expected Key Result Areas:
- Lead MIHS resource mobilization through grants and other innovative initiatives.
- Establish and manage partnerships for MIHS business growth.
- Lead the management of community empowerment programs.
- Seek and deliver consultancies in line with MIHS vision, mission, and core values.
- Identify training needs, develop, and deliver professional courses.
Qualification & Experience:
- First degree or its equivalent in a health or education-related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Health, Education, or Management).
- Training in resource mobilization is an added advantage.
Job-related experience and knowledge:
- 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership position in an education or training function.
- Track record of resource mobilization and management.
- Knowledge of key issues in current and emerging health priorities (including Palliative care, HIV, other epidemics, and general health care).
- Knowledge of business product and project cycle management.
- Knowledge of facilitating adult teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education standards/guidelines.
- Knowledge of designing capacity-building interventions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
