Role outputs Developed and Implemented Social Accountability Strategies: Design and execute social accountability initiatives that promote citizen engagement, transparency, and accountability in SRHR service delivery.Strengthened Citizen-Led Social Accountability Initiatives: Build capacity of citizen-led groups, including community-based organizations and advocacy groups, to demand quality SRHR services and hold duty-bearers accountable.

Built Capacity of Collaborating Partners: Enhance the capacity of collaborating partners to utilize the Intersectional Community Score Card (ICSC) tool to track, monitor, and demand improvements in SRHR service delivery.

Generated and Utilized Evidence for Social Accountability: Gather and package evidence from primary actors’ social accountability initiatives, including data from the ICSC, to inform advocacy, policy, and programming.

Improved Transparency and Accountability Mechanisms: Collaborate with government and health sector stakeholders to establish and strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms, including complaint and feedback systems, and ensure that citizen demands are addressed and SRHR commitments are fulfilled.

Experience and skills required for this volunteer placement

At least 2-3 years of experience in social accountability, advocacy, community engagement, or a related field.

Proven experience in designing and implementing social accountability initiatives, including community score cards, social audits, or other participatory monitoring and evaluation methods.

Experience working with civil society organizations, community groups, and government agencies to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.

Excellent computer skills (word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)

Experience of a demanding workload and ability to prioritize and effectively manage time to deliver high quality work to tight schedules

You have experience of working in advocacy programmes, preferably in adolescent and youth health or SRHR
