Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
• Implement OneVillage Partners’ strategic plan in close collaboration with the US office,
Sierra Leone office, and Executive Director.
• Advise and report on Sierra Leone activities-based, anticipating and notifying senior
leadership of potential threats to program execution and financial viability and
recommending response and preparation as needed.
• Develop and build partnerships with relevant organizations, government institutions
and networks to further the strategic objectives of One Village Partners-US
• Collaborate closely with Executive Director to support Board activities, particular in
regards to engaging SL-based Board Members, serving on Board Committees, and
supporting and modeling best governance practice with new Board and staff.
• Foster an open, learning-oriented working culture that reflects OneVillage Partners’ core
values.
• Serve as a spokesperson for OneVillage Partners -US and OneVillage Partners -SL in
public engagements as requested.
Operations and Administration
• Provide leadership to a team of more than 50 in Sierra Leone, including Finance and
Accounting, Programs, Monitoring and Evaluation and Operations teams with four
direct reports: Finance and Operations Director, Programs and Partnerships Director,
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, and Communications Manager.

• Provide direction in building country-level staff
structure in line with organizational budget and strategies, and ensure a motivated,
productive and appropriately managed team.
• Responsible for overall programmatic direction and team leadership in Sierra Leone on
programs and program expansion.
• Serve as overall risk manager for in-country operations, anticipating and responding to
potential threats to program implementation and financial viability.
• Ensure that all administrative and operational procedures and protocols are being
followed, resources are utilized in a transparent and accountable manner, and that all
operations are in adherence with national legislation and policy; develop new protocols
and policy as needed.
• Manage external consultants as needed.
• Ensure ONE VILLAGE PARTNERS programs operate at highest standards of quality and
ethics.
Grants and Fundraising
• Work closely with the Fundraising Team to set and execute the annual Sierra-Leone
based giving strategy and developing strategies to achieve long-term revenue goals.
• Achieve revenue growth goals by securing, managing, and stewarding support from
multilateral and bilateral funders, and through partnerships and other consortia.
• Manage the complete life cycle of assigned OneVillage Partners’ awards, including
research, grant writing, implementation, budgeting, and reporting.
• Oversee the creation of timely, compelling, and accurate grant proposals, funder
reports, and budgets that meet grant requirements.
• Actively support the project management and systems for grant writing, funder
relationship management and funder reporting, ensuring teammates are well-informed
of milestones and deadlines.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Non-Profit Management or a relevant
field
• Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in international development,
preferably in West Africa
• Experience in Community-Led Development methodologies and practices
• Experience executing on strategy across multiple offices and under guidance of a Board
of Directors.
• Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
• Strong financial management skills and experience creating and overseeing budgets;
experience with QuickBooks a plus
• Excellent written and spoken English language ability; knowledge of Mende or Krio a
plus

field
