The Manager – Products will be responsible for driving the strategy, development and lifecycle management of fixed connection solutions (i.e. Carrier Ethernet, Dark Fibre, MPLS, IP Service, Transmission). The role will be responsible to develop new fixed connectivity products, including managing the product definition and delivery cycle, pricing and technical and commercial specification definitions aligned to market trends and commercial requirements from sales and commercial support team.
The role will monitor the product implementation, launch and OFAB processes. The Manager Product will liaise with the Central, FibreCo, CoE and GEBU product teams to develop a unified wholesale and enterprise approach for Fixed connectivity products.

The Manager – Products (Fixed Connectivity) role will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:
- Support the development and management of the global fixed connectivity roadmap and product plans, working into the wider Connectivity Portfolio to build a single connected platform between wholesale and Enterprise
- Drive the development and management of Connectivity, IP Services and Networks as a Service product offering in line with the Bayobab Product Development Framework.
- Create and manage the fixed connectivity product catalogue, including specification and pricing for new products
- Collaborate with OpCos and Bayobab FibreCo’s to understand key needs and requirements from a carrier service perspective and incorporate them into the Bayobab product catalogue and plan
- Build and manage business cases for product implementation, adequately approximating CAPEX and OPEX impact and monitoring business case performance once product launched
- End to end ownership of product implementation – project managing covering multiple teams including technical and sales, and ensuring operational procedures are defined
- Responsible for fixed connectivity services profitability and management of product economics for this line of business
- Ensure the processes are defined to accommodate for fault handling and resolution, as well as fraud detection/prevention/response
- Track, and manage the product commercial and service performance, recommend and deliver on continuous improvements (revenue uplift and cost reduction), including product upgrades and changes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide sales, operational, competitor, market and product insights
- Build and manage business cases for product implementation, adequately approximating CAPEX and OPEX impact and monitoring business case performance once product launched
- End to end ownership of product implementation – project managing covering multiple teams including technical and sales, and ensuring operational procedures are defined
- Responsible for pricing; based on intelligence of competitive fixed connectivity services pricing
- Responsible for fixed connectivity services profitability and management of product economics for this line of business
- Track, and manage the product commercial and service performance, recommend and deliver on continuous improvements (revenue uplift and cost reduction), including product upgrades and changes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide sales, operational, competitor, market and product insights
- Manage CRM product and pricing catalogue and ensure it is up to date.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
(Education, Experience and Competencies)
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science
- Post graduate qualification MBA/master’s in economics, Engineering or Computer Science is an advantage
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- 5+ years relevant commercial and technical experience in the fixed line international telecommunication industry preferably in enterprise/carrier product business
- 3+ years of relevant product experience
- Worked across diverse culture and geographies
Competencies:
- Good understanding of new product development methodologies, processes and best practices, including but not limited to product lifecycle management and support the product rollout in multiple geographies
- Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong knowledge of Carrier Ethernet, IP Services, Optical Networking, IP/MPLS, Cloud networking technologies, OSS&BSS, Access Technologies (Fibre, VSAT, FWA etc.) and Digital Transformation
- Strong commercial and technical knowledge with the ability to work with cross-functional teams from technical, IT, commercial, finance, sales, marketing, legal, regulatory, technology vendors, and customers
- Understanding the connectivity infrastructure wholesale landscape, with a focus on emerging markets
- Ability to identify key issues in a situation and to think creatively and strategically in facing internal and external challenges
- Strong analytical skills to adequately anticipate demand and make investment decisions
- Exposure to operating in group and operating company environments within telecommunication companies would be beneficial
