Qualifications

• Minimum of a Degree in Electrical Engineering / equivalent
• Qualification in the Electrical Field
• All academic certificates must be certified by ZAQA

Experience

• Experience in EHT Switchgears/Transformers/Motors, Generators, Fire Suppression Systems and PFC’s.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience and exposure in an Electrical Supervisory position or Senior supervisor level in a Pyromettalurgical Mineral processing environment.

Extensive experience with :

• EHT Switchgear/Transformers/PFC’s and Protections
• EHT Motors
• Generators
• Cable jointing, termination and fault finding capabilities.
• Reading Electrical drawings (Schematic and Single Line Diagrams)
• EHT/EHV switching and control systems
• Fire Suppression Systems
• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).

Knowledge on the following :

• Extra High Voltage systems and Switchgears complete with protections.
• EHV transformers and motors
• MV VSDs such as the ATV1200 by Schneider
• EHV cable jointing
• Electrical maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Reading electrical drawings.
• Principles of electrical protection and be able to calculate faults, co-ordinate relays and choose appropriate relay curves.
• Operating electrical test instruments such as the Primary and secondary injection test set, contact resistance tester, three phase turns ratio tester, transformer ohmmeter, ground resistance tester, CT excitation/saturation tests, circuit breaker timing tests, Hipot Tester and PI tests.
• How to use electrical simulation softwares such as SKM and ETAP.
• Programming and use of softwares tools such as SFT2841 and SFT2885 SEPAM, Logo comfort software, SE-MON30 Littelfuse software, Ziton planner software, TDMS Pro, Powerlog 430-II, Smartview Classic and woodward software for easygen controllers.
• Performing transformer oil filtration and purification
