The Education Officer under the supervision of Chief Field Office Maroua will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the country programme, from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme task to facilitate programme development, implementation, program progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
He/ she will be responsible for the below activities:
- Support to programme development and planning
- Programme management, monitoring, and delivery of results
- Technical and operational support to programme implementation
- Networking and partnership building
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
Minimum requirements:
- Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical.
- Work Experience: A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in both development and emergency contexts is required.
- Language Requirements Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or the local language of the duty station is considered an asset.
