Duties and Responsibilities
The Intern will:
- Support staff working in the governance portfolio by contributing to the drafting of concept notes, project documents, project plans, communications, updating of the website, and liaising with partners.
- Liaising and communication with partners
- Attend all governance meetings and assist to take notes of discussion and follow up on action items
- Conduct analytical work as directed
- Together with the M&E team, track results of the governance portfolio to facilitate Annual reporting
- Together with the Communications analyst, use social media and other platforms to publicize governance work, and document challenges and lessons learnt
- Any other duties assigned by the Governance Programme Manager.
Results/expected outputs:
- Working with the program associate, ensure programme administrative support is provided to the governance team in an efficient, timely, responsive, and client-friendly manner to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the governance programme.
- Relevant Programme data, best practices, lessons learned are regularly collected, updated and are available for development and programming goals and for results reporting.
- Knowledge management products and governance portfolio well captured and documents on website and social media platforms.

Required Skills and Experience
Education
Currently studying towards or recent recipient of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Management, International Relations or Social Sciences, or related fields.
Experience
- Knowledge of project implementation and monitoring.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems
- Experience in collecting, analysing and visualizing data, identifying trends, preparing reports, communicating results, and developing visibility products is desirable;
- Fluency in written and spoken English with ability to write and synthesize;
