Inside Daily Insight: Bible Warnings (3)

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”
2 Peter 2:1-3

The bible says MANY shall follow these false teachers who bring up “damnable heresies” and one terrible thing is ” the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” that means the people will say evil things about Christianity because of these people. Now, brethren, dont fall into such deception through ignorance. The only way you got to know if someone is a true minister or a false minister is through the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Now , dont write me asking if so and so is a true minister, find out through the word.

Paul, after warning the brethren about “grievous wolves ” in Acts 20, said something of great value. He said, ” I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up.” Acts 20:32. It’s the word that will preserve you from falling into error. It doesn’t matter who the preacher is, EVEN IF IT’S ME , JUDGE ACCORDING TO THE WORD. The bible says prove all things hold fast that which is good. The bible talks of Berian Christians who took time to judge the teachings of Paul to see if they were in line with the word. Acts 17:11 says, ” These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Become a Noble Christian, one who does search the scriptures for himself. If you are literate, then what stops you from studying scriptures.

After all has been said and done, THE WORD WILL STAND FOREVER. The denominations will be gone, the church uniforms gone, the name of your “papa” , Pastor or Prophet gone. There is one thing that will stand into eternity: It’s the Word of God. Never be offended that we ask you to judge everything with the word. It’s time you desire the word of God more than a touch from a man of God. Luke 5:1 says, ” People pressed upon Jesus to hear the word of God.” They didn’t press to get some water, mantle, or anything else, They pressed to hear the word. May you press to hear the word. Buy the books, DVDs from seasoned preachers, and most importantly, press to buy a bible. Sometime in June, we had an outreach in Chingwizi in Zimbabwe ,we saw people pressing to get a bible , and some folks would kneel and beg for a copy of bible or Rhapsody of Realities. That’s more honorable than to press for mantles.
Stick to the word, and you will come back with a testimony.
