” The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. ”
John 20:25
Let’s read this verse with your possible situation in mind , “The other disciples said to him the LORD has healed you. But he said except I see the symptoms and pains disappear, and I feel different, and the Doctor confirms my healing, I will not believe I am healed.” This is how Thomas may have sounded if he were told of God’s word on healing. Let’s take another example.
“The other disciples therefore said unto him,The LORD has made you wealthy and rich. But he said unto them, except I see the money in my bank account and hold keys to my Range Rover Evoque, I will not believe I am rich.” That’s the Thomas talk if he were told of riches. Thomas supposedly believed that what he didn’t see was just foolishness.
How can I believe I am pregnant when my stomach is just the same and the scan is showing nothing? This is how Thomas and his kids talk. I ought to see the offer later before I believe God has given me the job. I can’t say I have something I haven’t seen and touched. This is how they talk in the house of Thomas. He just wouldn’t believe anything until he saw it, but hear what JESUS said
“Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:29
Jesus wasn’t pleased at Thomas, who could only believe that which he had seen with the physical eye. If he wasn’t pleased at Thomas who walked by sight, he wouldn’t be pleased at your unbelief either. Until you accept the word of God to be true ,you may never see it manifested. Until you accept that you are healed first, the symptoms may never leave you. Believing precedes receiving. You believe you have it first, you think you have it ,you talk like a haver and act like you have it, and it shall be made manifest to you.
Believing has nothing to do with what we see, feel, or touch. Yet it is the one that believes or accepts the reality of the unseen that is blessed. I may feel like a fool but God’s word says I am wise and I choose to believe the word not my feelings, I may feel pains in my body but I believe I am healed nomatter how I feel, so I think, talk and act that way. Well, this may not make sense, but it surely makes Faith. This is the principle that is going to move you into your inheritance. Accept the Unseen Realities of God’s word, Speak, and Act them out.
We walk by faith, not by sight. You are what God says you are. You have what God says you have, and you can do what God says you can do. Practice this word, and we will hear your testimony even NOW
