6 unique characteristics of a radical Christian
True consecrated Christianity isn’t a flippant, casual relationship but a radical commitment to Christ and His cause. This is the life he has called you into. You need to be radical in order to make an impact on your christian walk. Matthew 11 vs 12 says, And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force’.
1. Radical commitment
1 Corinthians 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
– You have to addidct yourself to the things of God.
– You should get committed to a point that they ask you why you are carrying the church on your head?
– David said, ‘I was glad when they said let’s go to the house of the Lord!’ This shows us how committed he was to the things of God.
– God is able to commit in your hands whatever is required for the work of the ministry if you show your commitment. Your reliability and dependability are key in serving God.
– Be committed and consumed by the work of the ministry.
Psalm 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
2. Radical Faith
Romans 4:18-21 [18] Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. [19] And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
– When you face challenges, keep your confidence in the Lord and get radical with your affirmation of the Word.
– As you speak, the Spirit will cause things to happen in line with your words; He needs your words. Every now and then declare, “I’m healthy and strong because I have the life of God in me!” Don’t wait for symptoms to show up in your body to make such declarations. Talk that way now, and it’ll
– When you heard the Gospel, it came packaged with faith, and when you acted on it, faith was imparted to your spirit, to use for the rest of your Christian journey. By using it, you strengthen it, and by hearing more of God’s Word, you increase it.
– The Lord wanted you to have the mentality that anything is possible; you can do anything and achieve anything! Have the mindset of possibilities and victories only. That vision, idea, target, or dream is possible! Stay your mind on the Word; fuel your faith and take the required step. You’re the believing one, and anything is possible with you.
