Man was created in the image and likeness of God and for that purpose he is a spirit. He has a soul which makes up his reasoning and emotions and he lives in a physical body. You are not your body, your body is the house in which you dwell. The real you is an invisible divine creation. When you were born again, a new you came to being right within you. The old man (spirit) died and a new spirit was born into you. Being Born Again is a reality, it’s not about joining a church or being nice, it’s a reality. Being Born again means a new spirit which came from the bosom of the father came alive in you and that’s the new you. You (the spirit) are the man God talks to through his word. You are not an ordinary being, you are more than flesh and bones.
Many people have never gotten acquainted with themselves, they don’t know who they really are, what they only know is what’s written on the birth-certificate, academic certificates, medical reports and all that is physical. They describe themselves according to their skin color, height, weight, what they seem to have or not to have. God however would have us look at ourselves according to the spirit. That’s the only way we are able to function in the glories of the word. You can’t raise the dead by seeing yourself through natural lenses. It’s not how big your hand is that makes the sick well when hands are laid. Grabbing someone by the neck and shaking them also does not release divine energy or force devils out, it’s a release of spiritual power.
You are a New Creation. A brand-new thing from God. You were not forgiven, the old you died. And a new you is on the scene, this new you has the life and nature of God , he has power over disease, and everything of the devil. This is the New Man in Christ who ought to take over and govern your life. Your spirit should exercise rulership otherwise there will be no demonstration of the supernatural. The supernatural power of God is upon the spirit man, even though we lay physical hands, the power is released from our spirits. Learn to walk conscious of the fact that you are not your body, eternal life is in your spirit. You are a God kind of being incased in human flesh. This is the real you, don’t judge yourself by your physical outlook.
