” By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
Heb 11:7-8
Sometimes, there are those who think they have done everything they ought to do according to the scriptures, but still, their situations are not changing. Such people are proud and very ignorant. Let me explain why, to claim that the word of God failed means you knew exactly what to do, and you did the word in its entirety, and the word failed. Now, it is impossible for one to act on the word in its entirety and come back defeated. Sometimes, I can almost predict that such and such a person is going to continue struggling if they continue praying the way they are doing. How do I know? It’s because I have studied scriptures and understood that such kind of praying yields no results. There is a couple I know. They are very prayerful and surely love God, but after all the praying, both the husband and wife talk defeat and unbelief as a way of life. I have tried to talk to these people several times to guide them but I think they are not ready to listen yet, such folks may even start wondering why the word is not working but they should not even wonder because the answers are plain.
REAL FAITH WORKS! Our opening scripture gives us practical examples of faith. Faith means that you act on the word of God . Noah started building an Ark just because he believed the word of God. Well, if you believe that God has indeed given you a car, why is it you don’t even know the cost of fuel, why didn’t you buy the seat covers for your car, what about the dashboard spray? I am not saying, go and do this to convince us that you indeed have faith. No, real faith automatically triggers one to act in a certain way. If a woman is expecting a baby, she doesn’t wait for the baby to be born before she can start buying clothes for that baby. Faith can be seen, and faith can be heard. The bible says in Matthew 9:2 ” And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” It reminds me of what Dr T L Osborn said. Some folks brought a cripple to his meeting from a far place, and they hired a car to take the man to the meeting. They didn’t have enough money to take the cripple back home, they said ” You will be healed at the meeting and you will walk home”. They didn’t have a thought about the healing failing. They were so sure they were going home with the cripple walking, and they sure did. Brothers and sisters, if it didn’t work, then it was not faith.
