Solomon before
1 Kings 3:3 KJV
And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
Solomon After
1 Kings 11:1,3-4 KJV
But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; [3] And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. [4] For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.
➡️ Solomon moved from loving God with all his heart to loving strange women who turned his away from God.
Jehoram’s testimony
2 Kings 3:1-2 KJV
Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years. [2] And he wrought evil in the sight of the Lord ; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.
Manasseh’s testimony
2 Kings 21:1-2 KJV
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi-bah. [2] And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
Josiah’s testimony
2 Kings 22:1-2 KJV
Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. [2] And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
Noah’s testimony
Genesis 6:9 KJV
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
➡️ God’s testimonies of Jehoram and Manasseh were clearly different from the ones of Josiah and Noah.
What will be your testimony at the end of your story❓
Which report will God say about you. To others, he said:
Matthew 25:21 KJV
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
➡️ If you study the book of Hebrews chapter 11, you will discover that God talks about “men of faith” – those who dared to put to work their faith, and God wrote special miracles with them.
Did you know that God called Abraham his friend❓
Isaiah 41:8 KJV
But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Does God know you for faith or Fear❓ Are you putting your faith to work, or you’ve let fear fill your heart, thoughts, and words? (Luke 21 vs. 26).
2 Chronicles 20:7 KJV
Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
Isaiah 41:8 KJV
But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
John 15:14-15 KJV
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. [15] Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
It matters what God says about you. Use the word of God to build your life and living it for the Lord. That’s all that matters.
