To assist in providing and managing security services
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assisting in background checks on the employees hired by the University
2. Assisting in training security professionals or other members of staff in security rules and procedures
3. Assisting in managing security for special and high-profile corporate events as delegated by the Security Officer
4. Advising staff and students on security issues
5. Escorting staff, students, and visitors when necessary;
6. Participating in supervising outsourced security personnel;
7. Investigating security incidents
8. Assisting in emergency management and contingency planning
9. Monitoring implementation of security policies, programs or procedures
10. Conducting periodic and unscheduled patrols of University premises;
Minimum Education Qualification and Experience
Malawi School Certificate of Education
Serving Police Officer or certificate in police studies
