Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and
Health, Environment Science, Biology, Environmental Health or related field with a
Merit or better.
A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Environmental Science and Health or
equivalent with a 2.1 or better.
Possession of a PhD in a related field, along with teaching experience at the tertiary level,
will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels, especially on the subject areas of Introduction to Parasitology and Pest Control,
Introduction to Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, Occupational Safety and
Health, Environmental Monitoring and Evaluation, Environmental Toxicology, Meat
Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Environmental Law, and related areas.
Teaching and supervise undergraduate students.
Sourcing research funding for the Department.
Participating in outreach programmes.
