Job description

Zoe Empowers Zimbabwe is currently hiring Program Facilitators to oversee the implementation of its economic empowerment program in Mutare, Mutasa, and Makoni Districts. As Zoe Empowers Zimbabwe is expecting program expansion, additional project staff are being recruited.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main objectives of this role include:
• Facilitate the enrolment, recruitment, group formation, and verification of Orphan and Vulnerable Children and Youth into the program.
• Identifying community training needs, developing training modules, and conducting training sessions accordingly.
• Facilitate career guidance to Orphan and Vulnerable Children and Youth on Vocational skills training
• Coordinate trainings on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, gender equality and other emerging health issues
• Coordinate the distribution of program resources.
• Liaise with individual household and groups on economic empowerment projects to embark on for sustainability and resilience.
• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation activities to track the progress of individual households’ welfare in the program
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with program participants, stakeholders, and community members to foster engagement and participation.
• Collaborate with relevant partners and organizations to leverage resources, expertise, and support for the program.
• Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities, including participant data, training materials, reports, and evaluations.
• Prepare timely and comprehensive reports on program progress, outcomes, and challenges encountered, as required by the organization and stakeholders.
• Track graduates who have been weaned off from the Programme.
• Stay updated on developments and best practices in the field of OVC empowerment and related areas, incorporating new knowledge into program design and implementation.
• Being a team player on fundraising efforts.
• Responsible for the preparation of projected expenditures quarterly
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and conferences related to the program, representing the organization and contributing to knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.
• Uphold ethical standards and promote a safe and inclusive environment for program participants, ensuring their rights and well-being are respected and protected.
• Collaborate with the organization’s leadership and team members, providing input and feedback to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Development Studies, Social Work, or an equivalent qualification in Social Sciences.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in community work and implementing donor-funded projects.
• Proven experience in program coordination or management, preferably in the field of child empowerment and support programs.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of issues related to orphans and vulnerable children, child rights, and community development.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver training sessions and capacity-building programs.
• Strong monitoring and evaluation skills with the ability to track program outcomes and report on progress.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and empower program participants.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in data management, analysis, and report writing.
• Assertiveness and shows cultural sensitiveness.
• A valid Class 4 Driver’s License.
