Specific Objectives of the Assignment The Sub Programme Officer shall support the DPI Programme Working Groups, Technical Working Groups, Institutions and the Secretariat to effectively and efficiently execute their duties. Scope of work The Sub-programme Officer, shall mainly support the DPI Programme and corresponding Subprogram Working Groups, Institutions and the Secretariat. Specific tasks to be undertaken
i. Draft the DPI Sub-programme quarterly, semiannual and annual performance reports;
ii. Facilitate DPI Sub-programme Reviews;
Facilitate DPI Programme Working Group meetings; and Technical Working Group meetings Support the identification, costing/budgeting and implementation of DPI Programme priorities; Support the development, approval, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of DPI Programme Projects; Support the execution of DPI Programme Research, Studies and Policy Dialogues; Qualifications/Experience/Expertise.
A minimum of six (6) years of practical working experience of which, three (3) years should be hands-on in Development Planning, Research Budgeting, Resource Mobilisation, Monitoring and Evaluation in a management position in a reputable Organization.
Minimum Qualifications. An honors Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, Commerce, Finance and any studies relevant for Development Planning.
In addition, the Officer MUST have a Master’s Degree in Development Planning, Public Finance, Taxation, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Computer Science/ICT, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Management Studies or any other related discipline with specific post graduate training.
