Machakos County, nicknamed ‘Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Duties and Responsibilities.

• Providing Physiotherapy services to inpatients and outpatients at an outpatients’ unit/ward/health institution
• Assessing patient needs including rehabilitation
• Verifying and maintaining information and records relating to patients: screening, assessing and providing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy and hydrotherapy as per the patient/clients formulated treated plan
• Collecting data for operational research

Requirements for Appointment

• Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
• Certificate of Registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK)
• Current Certificate of practice from Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK)
• Certificate in any computer application skills.
