- ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
30% Administer appropriate nursing care to all children<5 admitted to the SC.
- Children 0-59M are identified and admitted into the SC according to protocol
- Children 0-59M are discharged from SC with cure rate > 75%, defaulter rate <15%, None response Criteria <15% and Death rate <5%
- M&E tools update daily/ regularly
20% Manage cases of children with severe Acute malnutrition with medical complications admitted in stabilization care centers
- Fill appropriately the SC register and ensure correct admission criteria
- Complete all required M&E tools at the SC including the MULTICHART Health Cards
20% Proper management and drug administration of routine medication in the SC sites
- Give appropriate medication to the beneficiaries.
- Prepare the right Nutrition meals of F100 F75 or RUTF as may be required
- Ensure No Stock out at the SC
10% Ensure that accurate field data is kept at the SC centers and site reports/data compiled into weekly and monthly reports and submitted to the Nutrition Officer/ Manager
- No stock out at the facility
- Maintain and update stock cards on all supplies received at the facility
- POD documents are signed and stamped by the facility in charge
- M&E tools are delivered timely to the facility by the NFCs
10% Work in close consultation and collaboration with the State Ministry of health in implementation of Nutrition activities
- Weekly and monthly reports submitted timely
- Maintain a good working communication with CHD
10% Ensure that the Care givers of children admitted into the SC are orientated on admission, regular health and MIYCN messages on daily basis
- MIYCN registers are filled on regular basis
- Patient health cards are filled appropriately
Qualifications/Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.
- The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training: Minimum Qualification required:
- Three years training in Nursing, or health related field and a maximum of 2 yrs work experience in nursing management & CMAM/MIYCN
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing or other health related field
- Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain and prioritize work under pressure and able to walk at a distance of two hours supervising Community Nutrition Volunteers
- Experience in anthropometric measuring techniques and community mobilization
- Computer skills.
