Veteran Mission Hospitals Limited was born from the identification of the presence of a huge gap in the medical industry which is between what the people need and what is available in the industry.

Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Resident Consultants to join our esteemed team. We are looking for consultants in the following specialties:

  • Pediatrician
  • Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN)
  • Physician /Family Physician.
  • Surgeon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical care in your area of specialization to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnostics, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Perform specialized procedures and surgeries as required.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and interns.
  • Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and patient care conferences.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in your field through continuous  education and training.
  • Educate and support patients and their families, providing clear communication regarding conditions, treatment options, and care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • Engage in community outreach and education programs to promote health and wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in your area of specialization (M.Med or equivalent).
  • Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in your specialty, with a strong clinical background.
  • Proven expertise in patient care, diagnostics, and treatment within your specialty.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records.
