Justice Centres Uganda (JCU) is a national organization dedicated to providing legal aid and promoting access to justice for vulnerable and marginalized communities. We are seeking five (5) highly organized, ethical, and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Assistants to support financial management and administrative operations across our regional offices.
This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build practical experience in finance, accounting, and office administration within a mission-driven organization.
Role Purpose
To provide efficient financial, accounting, and administrative support that ensures proper management of resources, accurate financial reporting, and smooth day-to-day operations of the Centre.
Key Responsibilities

Process payments, vouchers, and financial transactions in line with policies and procedures

Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation

Assist in preparing budgets, financial reports, and reconciliations

Support petty cash management and expense tracking
-
Capture and manage data using accounting systems such as QuickBooks
-
Provide administrative support including procurement, filing, logistics, and office coordination
-
Ensure compliance with financial controls, donor requirements, and organizational policies

Support audits and other finance-related reviews

Assist with general office administration and operational tasks as required
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience in finance or administration

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)

Professional certification (CPA or ACCA – at least Level 2) is an added advantage
