The Kress Hauler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Kress haulers within the department, specifically in the Isaconvert section. This role involves transporting molten metal, slag, and other materials within the plant, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining the hauler in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Safe and efficient operation of a Kress Hauler in various areas i.e Isaconvert, MSEF, PSC Aisle, Slag Dump.
• Hauling Isaconvert molten slag (ladles) from the skimming end to the cooling area.
• Hauling cooled isaconvert slag from the cooling area to the crusher bay.
• Hauling MSEF molten matte (ladles) from the PSCs main Aisle to  the cooling area.
• Hauling cooled, fragmented/granulated matte from the cooling area to the bunkers.
• Transporting empty slag/matte ladles from one area to the other.
• Monitor and inspect the condition of the Kress Hauler and all other associated equipment.
• Immediately report any breakdowns, damage or operability issues with the Kress Hauler.
• Other duties as directed by the Shift controller – Peirce Smith Converters

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Should be able to pass Kansanshi Mining Plc mobile equipment internal assessment.

Experience

Required:

• Minimum 2 years experience in operating Kress Hauler or Front End Loaders

Desirable:

• Operating experience with molten metal.
