Duties and Responsibilities

• Set the overall editorial direction.
• Ensure content aligns with the publication’s mission,
• Plan editorial calendars.
• Approve and ensure quality control of all content.
• Ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms.
• Stay on top of trends and explore new content formats to engage audiences.
• Ensure content complies with laws and regulations.
• Shaping the publication’s content, leading the editorial team, and maintaining
  its reputation.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• The incumbent must be someone very conversant with the editorial processes including grasping the with journal policy, thrust, structure and referencing style.
• The journal is looking for a seasoned scholar with a track record of publishing in high impact and institutional publications.
• Must have demonstrable knowledge of the knowledge chain from research, through reviews, production and publicity.
• Excellent editorial judgements
• Attention to detail
• Keeping the tone and policy of the journal
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of intellectual property laws especially copyright laws
