The Accountant position is responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting and internal control system within the Finance Department. He/She is also responsible for ensuring adequate, effective and efficient functioning of the department.
- Preparing tax returns and submitting to the Tax Authority
- Preparation of general ledger reconciliation statement
- Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
- Processing payments for suppliers
- Monitoring general ledger for all branches, identifying mis postings and following up on reversals and outstanding items
- Preparing monthly schedules for outstanding items in the general ledger
- Posting staff salaries and other payments to staff and suppliers in line with the bank policy and procedures
- Following up on accountabilities of funds advanced to staff, verifying and retiring the funds in line with the bank policy

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance option or any related field.
- Professional certification in accounting i.e CPA/ACCA qualification
- 3 years’ experience in banking in a similar role.
