- ACCOUNTANT (Strategic & Commercial) Role Purpose
To manage financial integrity while actively supporting bid pricing, cost optimization, cash-flow forecasting, and e-commerce profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage budgets for tenders, framework contracts, and e-commerce operations
- Develop bid pricing models (cost build-ups, margins, tax considerations)
- Track revenues, expenses, and profitability per contract and product line
- Manage invoicing, receivables, supplier payments, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and audit requirements
- Support management with financial insights and scenario analysis
- Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Innovation Expectations
- Propose smarter pricing strategies to win tenders sustainably
- Identify cost leakages and automate accounting processes
- Use data to advise management, not just report figures
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA/ACCA (or progress toward) is an added advantage
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Analytical thinker with commercial awareness
- High integrity and attention to detail
