QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a certified accountant for the last 2 years with at least 2 years of experience in project accounting.
- Knowledge and experience working in donor funded projects.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Evidence of previous generation of quality and timely project financial reports.
- High level of integrity, values, ethics and competence.
- Demonstrate high level of creativity, innovation and analytical thinking.
- Knowledge in donor compliant, budget reviews and analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vouching of financial documents.
- Preparation of M-pesa payment including verifying the creditability of the participants to be paid.
- Filling and coding of financial documents for easy retrieval at any given time.
- Follow up on Vat Refund from respective Vendors of the organization.
- Reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring that they have proper documentation before any payment is done.
- Retrieving sampled documents required during external audit.
- Ensuring proper books of accounts are maintained.
- Makes DA1 forms and ensuring they are sent to USAID within specified timeframe
- Fuel analysis for project vehicles.
- Performing general data entry.
- liquidation of the amount advanced to employees.
- Performing assets verification.
- Banking of VAT refund Cheques received from Vendors.
