Liquidity management and account funding:
Monitor and fund internal and external accounts daily and intraday.
Fund settlement, operational, and CBN/RTGS accounts.
Computes the liquidity ratio monthly.
Prepare daily, monthly, and annual cash flow reports.
Prepare and send a daily money market activity report.
Prepare and send Daily Treasury A&L Position Report.
Contribute to the monthly ALCO report preparation.
Investment Management:
Develop and implement effective funding strategies to minimize costs.
Optimize investment returns on surplus funds while managing risk.
Execute trades efficiently.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of evolving financial regulations, ensuring the Payment Service Bank complies to guidelines and policies as indicated in the Guidelines for Licensing and regulation of Payment Banks by Central Bank of Nigeria.
Implement policies and procedures to mitigate regulatory risks and enhance overall compliance posture
Compliance:
Develop and implement robust internal financial controls to manage minimum requirements of Government Securities to be held by a Payment Service Bank, setting standard amount limits to be held in the RTGS (CBN account) for settlement of daily transactions including funding of net position for NIBSS clearing sessions and collateral renewals with all financial institutions.
Collaborate with TROPs to ensure up to date Cash and Securities settlement accounts in preparedness for periodic audits by internal and external examiners and identify and rectify any deviations from established compliance standards.
Prompt and Accurate Posting and Monitoring of Transactions:
Collaborate with the IT department to implement automated systems and processes to facilitate swift settlement of transactions, thereby reducing operational risks and optimizing liquidity management.
Create and establish standard operational workflows for processing all types of transactions to ensure prompt settlement whilst reducing errors and optimizing accuracy.
Establish a solid and reliable network with external parties that directly contribute to the Bank’s daily ALM activities including staff from CBN’s Banking and Payment Division, Treasury Dealers of Payment Service Banks (PSBs), Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), FMDQ Market Services Department etc.
Ensure on time placement or takings including Intraday liquidity management.
Reconciliation:
Design a robust reconciliation process that provides accuracy and completeness of financial transactions on blotter against CBN Nostro accounts, Securities Settlement accounts and all Cash accounts held in DMBs.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration and another related field.
Advanced degree or certification such as: Master’s in finance, economics or business administration, CFA or ACI will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 -7 years of experience in treasury ALM or Money Market Dealing in a Bank, Fintech or Payment solution business is of great advantage.
Subject Matter Expert in treasury and banking concepts.
Practical experience and understanding of financial inclusion.
Intermediate knowledge of accounting and finance principles, with the ability to apply concepts within a treasury context.
Should have experience with bank reconciliation.
