Job description

The Green Earth Action Day Ambassador Programme is a flagship initiative by the Green Earth Action Foundation (GEAF), established to empower individuals worldwide as environmental advocates. This programme mobilizes ambassadors from various countries to foster local environmental advocacy, build global awareness, and champion sustainable solutions.

Through education, outreach, and hands-on initiatives, ambassadors play a crucial role in driving grassroots-level climate action. The programme culminates annually with the Green Earth Action Day on April 29, an event designed to showcase impactful community-led environmental efforts while fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship worldwide.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Global Network of Ambassadors: Connecting environmental champions from diverse regions to share knowledge, collaborate, and inspire change.
  • Local Advocacy, Global Impact: Tailored community initiatives addressing region-specific environmental challenges, from deforestation to water pollution.
  • Interactive Training: Online workshops and webinars to develop skills in community mobilization, advocacy, and sustainable practices.
  • Green Earth Action Day: A global event featuring workshops, exhibitions, and awareness drives organized by ambassadors in their local communities.
  • Ongoing Sustainability Efforts: Encouraging long-term, community-driven initiatives and reporting on their impact to inspire others.

Partners

The success of the Green Earth Action Ambassador Programme is made possible through collaboration with a wide range of partners, including:

  • Environmental Organizations: Collaborating with NGOs to amplify community outreach and share resources for climate advocacy.
  • Educational Institutions: Partnering with schools and universities to engage young leaders in sustainability initiatives.
  • Corporate Sponsors: Engaging businesses committed to sustainability to fund workshops, events, and campaigns.
  • Government Agencies: Supporting policies and public awareness campaigns for climate action and environmental protection.
  • Community Groups: Collaborating with local organizations to ensure cultural relevance and community engagement.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES AND OUTCOMES

The Green Earth Action Day Ambassador Programme aspires to:

  • Train and empower over 30 ambassadors globally by September 2025.
  • Educate local communities, fostering widespread participation in sustainable practices.
  • Establish a legacy of continuous environmental advocacy and actionable climate solutions.

By supporting ambassadors with training, resources, and platforms for global collaboration, GEAF aims to drive impactful change at both the local and international levels, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
