To work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure the safety and success of surgical procedures well as communicate effectively with the surgical team to provide updates on the patient’s condition and respond to any intraoperative concerns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer various types of anesthesia, including general and spinal depending on the surgical procedure and patient needs.
• Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of patients
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of anaesthesia care, including preoperative assessments, intraoperative interventions and postoperative outcomes
• Conduct postoperative care to ensure a smooth transition from anaesthesia to wakefulness and manage any postoperative. Intubation of patients for critical care
• Give reports on anesthesia recommendations and quality improvement for anesthesia care
• To cover theatre anaesthetic duties as assigned to and attend to emergencies and resuscitation care when they occur

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in anaesthesia.
• Certificate in ACLS, BLS will be an added advantage
• Valid Practice License.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• At least three years of working experience as an anaesthetist in a busy hospital.
