JOB PURPOSE

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales team, recruiting dealers, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve sales targets set for the assigned area.
  • Ensure individual Sales Supervisors, Sales Agents, and Dealers achieve the set targets.
  • Recruit Dealers in the assigned area.
  • Monitor and review sales team performance, motivating them to exceed targets.
  • Review sales outputs periodically for Dealers.
  • Conduct shadowing, coaching, and implement RTM strategies.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to the sales team.
  • Work closely with Customer Services to maintain customer relationships.
  • Identify market opportunities and submit them to the organization.
  • Build and maintain contacts with potential B2B customers.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the dealer network.
  • Ensure smooth transitions to Sales Support and/or Service teams.
  • Schedule and conduct formal sales activities and presentations.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing policies and functions as directed.
  • Manage, train, and guide the sales team in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct meetings with key stakeholders and build brand awareness.
  • Utilize various communication channels i.e. telephone calls, email communications and face-to-face meetings to close sales effectively.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and strategize accordingly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
