The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Carrying out condition monitoring functions as required on assigned mobile equipment.
• Repairing and maintaining of mobile equipment.
• Compiling checklists or work sheets for submission to the supervisor.
• Conducting root cause analysis of any failures on equipment and recommend solutions to the foreman/supervisor.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Adherence to established Safety Regulations and Procedures during work.
• Ensuring tools are clean and kept in appropriate places after use.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair.
• Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
• Underground working experience will be an added advantage.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
