The Engineering Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced and outstanding individual to fill an Artisan I – Rubber Liner position. The successful applicant will apply knowledge and experience in assisting in all belt and rubber lining activities by maintaining a safe and friendly working environment and liaising with other units within the department to improve the delivery of the section.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the efficient, effective, and safe lining of interior and exterior tanks, valves, pipes, and pulleys
• Execute daily routine work according to policies and procedures within prescribed guidelines, emphasizing quality and quantity of work output.
• Ensure compliance with the highest standards in terms of safety and Environmental Management
• Responsible for various Rubber Lining (Wear and Chemical Lining) activities
• Ensure that all plant lining and belt splicing activities are carried out efficiently
• Carry out engineering projects as may be assigned by the Supervisor
• Suggest ways to improve performance to meet targets

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of appropriate certification with experience in rubber and ceramic lining in the fixed plant & workshop relining environments
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a rubber / ceramic lining and knowledge of rubber products in plant equipment maintenance
• A trained and competent to use all rubber lining tools and consumables
• Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Demonstrable experience with fixed plant maintenance will be an advantage
